What do I do when the voices in my head get really loud?

Ever have a bad day? LOL! Of course we have all been there…

Here are 7 simple yet effective things that really helped me and I really hope can help you to get you through a bad day.

    1. Take a break and practice mindfulness and a moment of prayer. This can help you gain perspective and calm your mind. You can try activities like deep breathing, meditation, or even just taking a walk and paying attention to your surroundings. Even saying the simple OUR FATHER can bring so much peace.
    1. Connect with someone. Reach out to a friend, family member, or a professional for support. Sometimes, just talking about what’s going on can help you feel better. Don’t be shy, send that WhatsApp.
    1. Engage in physical activity. Exercise can help reduce stress and improve your mood. It can be as simple as going for a walk or doing some stretches. GO TO GYM!
    1. Practice self-care. Make time for things that bring you joy, like taking a warm bath, reading a book, or listening to music. PLAY YOUR FAVORITE SONG AS LOUD AS YOU CAN!
    1. Get some rest. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep and try to relax before bedtime. Don’t afraid to sneak in a nap, a 15 minute power nap can change the world.

    1. Eat well and stay hydrated. Fuel your body with nutritious foods and stay hydrated with water. Carry a bottle around with you and make sure you’re getting your 8 glasses.
    1. Seek professional help if needed. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope, consider reaching out to a mental health professional for support. They can help you develop coping strategies and work through your challenges.

You will have noticed that each of these 7 tips are NUMBER 1, yes, because they are meant to be. They’ll all in there to help you! No number is better than the other and sometimes you should do all of them.

But why self care even? I can GO GO GO…

Self-care is important because it helps you take care of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It can help you manage stress, improve your mood, boost your energy levels, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

When you engage in self-care activities, you’re taking the time to prioritize your own needs and well-being. This can help you feel more balanced and grounded, and better equipped to handle the challenges and demands of daily life.

Self-care can also help you feel more connected to yourself and your own needs, which can lead to a greater sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance. By taking care of yourself, you’re also setting a good example for others and modeling healthy habits and behaviors.

Overall, self-care is an important aspect of maintaining overall health and well-being, and it’s something that everyone should prioritize in their lives.
